TimeformUS Speed Figure Scale Alignment

This is a sport in which one either adjusts regularly or falls behind.

One of the benefits of being a Timeform customer is our ongoing assessment of our Speed Figures’ relation to the Timeform Global Ratings–given the evolving global Thoroughbred racehorse population and the fluctuations in horses’ ability from country to country. After extensive review of all of the data available, including the very latest, we’ve made a set of adjustments to better align TimeformUS Speed Figures with the Timeform Global Rating scale. As of now, the TimeformUS Speed Figures, strictly for all North American horses, are moving up, in a range of 7-10 points. Note: This will not affect the relationships beween or among North American horses to any significant degree. It will, however, affect the relationships between North American horses and their overseas counterparts.
